Dr. Kris Patel was born and grew up in a small town in East Texas. He is licensed by the Texas Optometry Board to practice as a therapeutic optometrist and an optometric glaucoma specialist.
Dr. Kris Patel was born and grew up in a small town in East Texas. He is licensed by the Texas Optometry Board to practice as a therapeutic optometrist and an optometric glaucoma specialist. He earned his doctorate degree from the University Of Houston College Of Optometry with honors in 2009. Dr. Patel completed an internship at Bridge Builders Eye Clinic in Dallas, Texas, where he was trained on how to diagnose and treat various diseases of the eye. He also completed an internship at Alamo Eye Care in San Antonio, Texas where he received extensive training in fitting of contact lenses and laser vision correction. Dr. Patel has worked with an ophthalmologist in Lubbock, Texas where he furthered his knowledge in pediatrics, eye disease and surgery, laser vision correction, as well as sports vision.
Dr. Patel was a committee member of the Texas Optometric Association, previously president of the Student Texas Optometric Association, and a Gold Key Honors Graduate. Dr. Patel begins each examination with a thorough assessment of the patients’ needs and concerns. He is able to tailor the eye examination for each patient and provide personalized treatment options, eyewear, and/or contact lenses that will provide the best vision and comfort.In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys participating and watching football and basketball games, and spending time with his family. He also competes in half marathons yearly in support of various diseases.

Dr. Hiral Mehta is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and an optometric glaucoma specialist. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and then a doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry.

She completed her optometric training at the Northeastern State University College of Optometry where she received extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and other anterior and posterior segment diseases. She is also trained on LASIK and cataract co-management, as well as contact lens fittings.
She is very thorough in her examinations and provides proper treatment plans tailored for each individual. Away from the office, Dr.Mehta enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
